What are the treatments and what results can I expect?
Dermal Roller
Below is a picture of the treatment and the Dermal Roller. It is used on the entire face (excluding the eyes).

How does the Dermal Roller treatment work?
Dermal Roller is a device with hundreds of micro-medical skin-needling arranged around a medical roller device. As the Dermal Roller is passed across the skin it causes small micro punctures in the skin surface that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely, creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.
Dermal Roller therapy can significantly improve the appearance of: facial and décolletage lines and wrinkles, lack of skin firmness and elasticity, scarring, acne and chicken pox scars, enlarged pores, sun damage, age spots and under-eye bags. On the course, this treatments carried out on the face only.
What happens during treatment?
Before your procedure commences a topical anaesthetic will be applied to your skin to ensure your comfort. After your skin is numbed, your Aesthetician will gently roll the Dermal Roller over your skin to puncture the outermost layers of the skin and create minuscule sub-cutaneous injuries. These microscopic wounds stimulate new collagen deposition which may last for up to a year.
What should I expect after my treatment?
Immediately after your Dermal Roller procedure you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after two hours and will normally recover on the same day with only slight redness the following day. The first day after treatment your skin may be affected by light to moderate redness, sensitivity to touch, itchiness and tightness. On the second day he redness of the skin will subside or be greatly diminished. By day 3 the skin should have healed and any remaining redness should disappear.
Mineral make-up can be used after approx 24hrs and normal skincare regime can be resumed once skin has completely healed. It is important to follow these guidelines to help prevent any infection to the skin.
A course of three Dermal Roller sessions, at 6-8 week intervals, is usually recommended to achieve optimum results. However you will notice great skin improvement after just one treatment.
This treatment cannot be administered 2 weeks prior or up to 2 weeks post Botox and Dermal fillers treatments.
Are there any side effects?
Some clients may develop signs of rosacea such as red or cream pustules 1 - 2 days after their treatment. It should resolve within 3 - 4 days. If the symptoms persist, they can be treated with a prescription anti-biotic.
