Here at Medics Direct, we run a two day Botox and Dermal Fillers course. After years of training medical professionals in these treatments we know how to get you leaving the course feeling confident and competent.
Two full mornings are spent on providing you with essential theoretical background before you start treating people. This includes:
- Evidence based theory behind the use of Dermal Fillers and Botox for facial aesthetics
- Understanding the facial aging process
- Skin assessment - changes in facial anatomy and physiology due to aging
- The art of facial rejuvenation – understanding the complete range of techniques for the treatment of fine lines, deep lines and loss of volume through to complete facial rejuvenation
- Client consultation - deciding on the best treatment and product
- Client selection – managing expectations
- Pharmacology
- Anatomy and Physiology of the facial muscles and nerves
- Contra-indications and cautions
- How to correct treatments and do top-ups
The afternoons are filled with demonstrations and practical one-to-one sessions where you will do each of the treatments you have been learning about in the morning on live models.
What we’ve found is that people want to go over things more than once on the course to make sure they have the knowledge to go out and treat safely and effectively. There is time for questions and answers, to give you the space to take your time with your practical session and to calm the odd nerve or two!
We often teach delegates who have already been on a one day Botox and Dermal Fillers course. Some of them are missing fundamental knowledge and many haven’t treated any clients since their course.
